At a glance:

Portfolio:

Three projects - Globe Gold, Nkwe Copper-Nickel and Motloutse Copper-Nickel and Gold.

Location:

Northeast Botswana, a well-known mining province near Francistown.

Ownership:

100%-owned by Jacaranda, across five granted licences plus three more under application.

Combined size:

Approximately 2,580 km².

Neighbours:

Sits within the same geological province as several past- and current-producing mines, including the Mupane, Map Nora and Golden Eagle gold mines and the Selebi-Phikwe and Selkirk-Phoenix nickel-copper fields.

Why three different projects?

Rather than betting on a single deposit style, Jacaranda’s Botswana ground gives it a foothold in three distinct, well-understood mineral systems that sit side-by-side in the same mining province:

  • Globe: gold formed in ancient fault zones (“orogenic gold”).
  • Nkwe: copper-nickel formed from cooling molten rock (“magmatic sulphides”).
  • Motloutse: a mixed copper-nickel-gold setting, still being defined.

This part of Botswana lies along the boundary between two ancient geological blocks: the Zimbabwe Craton and the Limpopo Mobile Belt. This boundary has channelled mineral-rich fluids and molten rock for hundreds of millions of years and already hosts several operating and historical mines.

Gold Globe Project

The pitch: high-grade gold, 5 km from Francistown, right next to several producing and past-producing gold mines, with 90% of the known mineralised trend still untested by drilling.

  • Location & size: one granted licence (10.36 km²) plus three licences under application (19.28 km²), located just southeast of Francistown.
  • Geology, simply: gold occurs within an ancient volcanic belt in two forms — rich quartz veins in fault zones (up to 26.5 g/t gold at the surface) and gold hosted in “banded iron formation,” a striped, iron-rich rock in which gold-bearing fluids have replaced the iron minerals.
  • Results so far: soil sampling outlined a 2.1 km-long gold anomaly; drilling in 2022 tested only 200 m of it, returning a best result of 3 m at 5.17 g/t gold; further sampling in 2026 returned a high-grade grab sample of 17.88 g/t gold.
  • Why it matters: The nearby Mupane gold mine produced 468,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 2.19 g/t between 2004 and 2010, providing a proven regional example of the gold mineralisation style targeted by Globe. The Monarch Gold Mine to the northwest and Cherished Hope immediately to the southeast further highlight gold mineralisation along the same regional structural corridor that extends through the Globe Project.

Nkwe Copper-Nickel Project

The pitch: a large, fully granted project located south of the large Selebi-Phikwe deposit, within one of the region’s best-known copper-nickel districts, with five drill-ready targets already identified.

  • Location & size: three granted licences covering 2,324.89 km², about 185 km south of Francistown, near the South African border.
  • Geology, simply: copper and nickel here formed as molten rock cooled deep underground, with certain metal-rich minerals settling out, like how sediment settles in water. Later, earth movements squeezed and concentrated these minerals along fault zones.
  • Results so far: the project remains at an early target-generation stage. Geological mapping and geophysical surveys have identified five priority drill targets across three anomaly zones, with signatures the Company considers comparable to those of Selebi-Phikwe and other known nickel-copper systems in the area.
  • For context: the nearby Selebi-Phikwe deposit is reported (by its owner, NexMetals Mining Corporation) to contain 24.72 million tonnes of ore at 1.5% copper and 0.92% nickel, illustrating the regional deposit style.

Motloutse Copper-Nickel and Gold Project

The pitch: the earliest stage of the three projects, with visible copper mineralisation already confirmed on the ground and assay results pending.

  • Location & size: one granted licence covering 228.15 km², about 65 km southeast of Francistown near the Zimbabwe border.
  • Geology, simply: a geologically complex zone thought capable of hosting several mineralisation styles, including copper in old sedimentary rocks, copper and base metals along fault zones, nickel-copper from cooling molten rock, and gold.
  • Results so far: historical trenching returned grades of up to 3.5% copper and 1.2 g/t gold. In May 2026, the Company’s field mapping confirmed extensive, visible copper mineralisation (green malachite staining) in old workings and rock dumps. 17 samples have been sent for laboratory analysis, with results pending.
  • Note: the current licence covers copper and nickel only. The Company is looking at how to add gold to the licence given the gold results seen historically.

What's next

Each project has its own staged work plan:

  • Globe: extend and infill drilling along the still largely untested 2.1 km gold trend.
  • Nkwe: follow up on the five priority targets with more detailed geophysics and initial drilling.
  • Motloutse: complete the pending assay work, compile historical data, and design a follow-up sampling and drilling program.

Important note

All three projects are early-stage exploration assets. None currently has a formal (JORC) Mineral Resource, and there is no guarantee that further exploration will result in one. Figures quoted for nearby mines (such as Mupane and Selebi-Phikwe) are historical or third-party results, included only to illustrate the type of deposit found in the region – they are not a resource or reserve on Jacaranda’s own ground. This summary is for general information only; prospective investors should read the full Independent Geologist’s Report and the risk factors in the Company’s Prospectus before making any investment decision.
